Since we announced that we were pregnant everyone has had an opinion about what the sex of the baby would be.
Dad wanted a girl.
Shawn's boss was sure it was a boy.
My supervisor was sure it was a girl.
For the last few weeks everyone has been asking me what if I had a gut feeling about the sex of the baby. I of course had no gut feeling. We had absolutely no preference.
We had our 20 week anatomy ultrasound on Monday at our prenatal appointment. Everything looked good at the appointment. My blood pressure is good and I've only gained 2 pounds, which is good since I was already overweight. The ultrasound was wonderful but the baby was not cooperating. The baby was moving like crazy. Wouldn't sit still for even a few seconds. The ultrasound tech couldn't get all the measurements that she needed, so we have to go back next month for another ultrasound. Okay with me :) I love ultrasounds...any chance to see the baby :) The tech almost couldn't tell the sex! She said that we may have to wait until next month :( Finally she spread her legs and let us see...
...it's a girl!
We are thrilled! Everyone else is thrilled too! There are so many cute things for girls. The clothes shopping is going to be so much fun.
My friend Sally from work made a reveal cake for me so we used it for work and had a lunchtime reveal party. It was so much fun! Everyone was so excited to hear the news! I will post some pictures soon.
