We had a few more firsts this week...
Nora got her first cold :(
Talk about draining bogeys and other junk! Even though she felt crummy, she was still her usual happy self during the day...just slightly more clingy to me :) I got lots of advice about what to do to make her feel better (and sleep better) and it was all a great help! This poor NICU nurse was struggling without a suction set up or a monitor for the night :( She's finally feeling better today! This is great because tomorrow I have to work...
She's not quite crawling yet, but she's coming darn close! She is pulling herself up on her knees though and she can go from laying down to sitting up on her own. I discovered this yesterday when I found her awake in her crib...
So today I lowered the crib. It was making me nervous.
We also started finger foods this week. She's not sure about it yet, but she's getting better everyday! I started with sweet potatoes, because those are her favorite, and she did well! Of course there was some gagging, but the second day she started using her teeth a bit instead of just 'gumming' the food and she did better. We also tired carrots and squash. She really did well with the squash too, I think because its soft. I gave her a piece of broccoli but she mostly just played with it. I haven't given her much fruit yet because I want her to experiment with the veggies first, but we'll start from fruit finger foods next week.
She's getting so big and doing so much...how do slow it down??
