Sea World San Antonio

Shawn had some extra vacation built up, so we decided to take a quick 2 day trip to San Antonio so we could take Nora to Sea World.  I was able to buy tickets through a discount program at work, which made the tickets 2 day tickets.  This worked out really well since the park is only open partial days this time of year.  So we decided to go for 2 days and stay the night in between in a hotel.

Nora really loved the "tell."  We took the cot that we got for our trip to South Padre Island this past summer and it was perfect, again!  This cot was an amazing purchase...just as a note for anyone who travels with toddlers.  On the drive back to Austin we had this conversation:

Nora: "I wanna go to the tell."
Me: "Nora we can't.  We have to go home now."
Nora: "But I want to...."
Me: "I know, but we have to go home."
Nora: "But I want to..."

This is a conversation that we have quite often lately.

Sea World!

The park was decorated for fall and Halloween.

We watched several shows...Nora loved them all!  I couldn't believe how good she was!  She sat and watched the shows, and even participated when the audience was supposed to!

We were about to get splashed....Nora did not like it!

The Sesame Street Bay of Play was great for Nora!  She and Shawn loved playing on the splash pad.  She enjoyed the Sesame Street show too.  And then there were rides!!!  She was really excited about the carousel so we rode that a few times.  I had my best mommy moment yet too...she and I rode her first roller coaster!!!  The Shamu Express!  She did amazing!  As soon as it stopped, she yelled, "AGAIN."  Unfortunately there was a line so we couldn't ride again immediately and she was not happy.  Not happy at all.  I can't wait to take her to Six Flags next summer!!

Here is Nora's first roller coaster picture!!

Nora and I had some fun while we were on the carousel together.  I wanted her to smile for a picture with me...she wanted no part of a nice picture together.

We went to a mall in San Antonio while we were there, and Nora discovered Build A Bear.  Oh no!  She loved it too.  She picked out a monkey (that she named monkey) and did such a great job following the directions for stuffing it.  She is getting to be such a big girl!

We had a great trip and a great time!  I love these little trips with Nora!
