Pregnant!

Finally!!!  We are pregnant!

I don't what to say or where to begin this pregnancy journal!  I have never been more happy in my life than I am right now!   The last 2 years (the last year in particular) have been so difficult.  Infertility has really done a number on my mental health.  Combine infertility with my stressful job (taking care of other people's babies) and you might have a tiny idea what I mean!   Shawn and I have been waiting for this day since we got married, but I have been waiting for this day since I was about 9 years old!  The only thing I have ever wanted consistenly in my life is to be a mother and it looks like I will finally have that opportunity!  The journey has not been easy, but it has made me truly understand how precious life is.  There are many children in my family...I have lots of cousins and they all have kids and they are all loved and cherished, and everyone knows how much Shawn and I love our nephew Logan...but Baby McGaughey will be SO FREAKIN' LOVED!  I can't wait for him or her to arrive.

It is still really early in the pregnancy to be making an official announcement, but considering all we have been going through to make this happen a lot of people already know it could be any day.  So it seems strange to be keeping the pregnancy from everyone else who only doesn't know because they don't happen to live near us!  So we'll tell our families first, but soon we will announce to everyone!  I don't care how early it is...I am so excited I just can't wait!

Baby:  Know that your mom and dad tried so hard and went through so much to get to this point and we already love you more than you could ever know!
