10 weeks

So...I am a bit behind on my 10 week post but here is it now.  It has been a busy week...working and then Week Awesome II beginning.  For more details on Week Awesome II seem my other blog.

This week our baby is the size of a kumquat.  A kumquat?  I know I have heard of a kumquat during my life but I still have no idea what they are.  So here is a little bit of trivia for you.
Apparently a kumquat is basically a small orange.  That is really all.  What an interesting lesson, right?

If a kumquat is a hard visualization, another of my baby sites has said that our baby is the size of a prune right now, about 1-1/4 inch from crown to rump.  That is a little easier to work with.  The baby is moving a ton now, but still not big enough for me to feel it.  The bones and cartilage are forming and the organs that have been forming over the last few weeks are starting to actually work!    The tiny nails are even starting for form on the fingers and toes.

I'm still exhausted, but I've been feeling prett good lately.  I hope that keeps up!!
