9 weeks

First off, I was just looking at the "pregnancy ticker" in my side bar and realized how awesome it would be if my tummy were indeed that flat right now :)  Oh well...at least now I have an excuse for my tummy now that I'm pregnant!  haha

So...9 weeks.

Seems like a long time...but we still have a long way to go!

The baby is the size of a grape or green olive now!  Wow!  Growing so freaking fast...I can't believe it.  All the organs are formed (of course they will grow and develop more, but they're all in place!).  The baby has fingers and toes, eyelids and ears!  The heart has formed all 4 chambers and we should be able to hear the heartbeat by doppler soon.  I still can't believe what is happening inside me all day and night...I am totally oblivious!

Well...not oblivious :(  The heartburn and nausea and really starting to get to me.  I know that I am just being a weenie about the heartburn, but its not a feeling I'm used to.  The nausea is bad some days and other days I feel great!  I still have no energy, but that is expected.  The days I work are the worst because I don't get to take a nap...haha.  I love my naps now :)  Overall, I can't complain!

We had our first prenatal appointment this week with one of the Nurse Midwives at my OB/GYN office.  She said everythings looks great!  I don't have any risk factors so we're going to proceed with the regular protocol and hopefully I will be able to have the uncomplicated pregnancy and birth I have always dreamed of!  So excited about this whole thing...have I mentioned that yet ;)
