I've survived 29 weeks now...and I will admit it is starting to get a bit harder. I've tried not to complain, and really I haven't had much to complain about, but the annoyances of pregnancy are starting to creep up on me. I can't get comfortable at night. I have to go to the bathroom every 2 hours. My lower back hurts and my ankles are getting swollen after working and then staying that way for 2 days, getting back to normal just when it's time to go to work again :( My heartburn is a constant issue now too. Boo.
But...
Baby girl is doing great. That's all that really matters! She moves all the time :) My blood pressure is fine and I have been gaining only a small amount of weight. After my 24 week ultrasound I got a call that Nora was measuring a bit big, but no other details. Plans were made to get another ultrasound at my 31 week appoints (that's in 2 weeks) to get some additional measurements. I had an appointment today and I asked my doctor for a bit of detail concerning her size. According to Dr. Miller, Nora was in the 95% at our 24 week appointment and right now my belly is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule, at 31 weeks today. Geez! I could end up with a ginormous baby like Mimi had! I passed my 1 hour glucose test with no problem, but just to be sure I'm going to do it again next week. Dr. Miller doesn't think I am gestational diabetic because I would be spilling glucose into my urine (which I'm not) and I would be having other symptoms by now, but we figured it couldn't hurt to check again. So in 2 weeks we'll have some additional data and can start making some plans for delivery. A 10 pound baby might just put a kink in my natural childbirth plans...
I tried to get some belly pics (I think they're all too close up and I look uncomfortable, but here they are anyway!). This shirt was a gift from Shawn's mom right after we found out we were having a baby. Thanks Stephanie!
I've also been working hard on Nora's room. We bought the paint for her purple accent wall, but still need to actually paint it! I also have been doing some crafty things (thanks Pinterest!). Here are the two I just finished.
Hanging sign for her door.
This shelf is on the wall over her crib. I'm going to add more to this wall, just haven't done it yet.
Still tons more to do on her room, but it's coming along :) I am loving getting the nursery ready!
Do you flip out just a little when you read how many days you have left to go!?!? Today your ticker reads 72 days... Only 72 days!
