27 or 28 weeks...I've fallen behind!

As you've noticed, I've been a tad behind in my weekly posts.  I've been busy...and tired...and working...and taking a babymoon trip.

In all of my baby blogs and baby updates there is talk of taking a babymoon before the baby comes.  I thought this sounded nice since I don't think Shawn and I will be taking any vacations anytime soon.  Plus it sounded nice to have some time just the two of us, since Mom and Eric live with us too.  So we took the weekend off of work and went to the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort located just outside of Austin.  Mimi used to work there and so I already knew it was nice.  We had such a nice time!  We got to relax by the pool.  I got to catch up on my fun reading.  Shawn went golfing.  Such a nice weekend.  We had originally planned to go to Dallas to a NHL game, since the Blackhawks were supposed to be playing in Dallas...but thanks to the NHL lockout we had to change our plans.  It's okay though because Lost Pines was really nice and it turned out to be a gorgeous weekend too!  We didn't get any pictures because our camera was acting stupid :(

I've also been working on the nursery quite a lot lately.  I plan to do the painting tomorrow or early next week.  I have one other project to finish up this week too, then I'll post pictures of that too!  For now all I have to post is the shelving over the dresser with Nora's first Eeyore collection...made up of some of my favorite Eeyores!

I promised Dad I would start my belly pics in the 3rd trimester...so I have!  Here is my first belly pic.  Since we were on our babymoon, we just got the picture in our hotel room.  From now on I plan to wear the same shirt and be in the same place in the house so we can really monitor Nora's growth...and mine.  I will be sure to start this week for the 29 week picture!

Overall things are still going great!  Swelling in the ankles is starting to get a bit worse, but only bad on days I work.  Also, my sciatic nerve is starting to bother me on the right side...boo!  That really sucks...but I'll survive!  I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow so I'll let you know if there's anything to report but my next ultrasound isn't for another 3 or 4 weeks.  So we won't really know about Nora's size until then.  I'm starting to get nervous though because I feel like my belly is growing at a crazy speed!
