26 weeks

So we've hit the 26 week mark!

Nora is getting huge...as am I!  I decided I would start weekly belly pics for the third trimester.  That gives me two weeks to figure out how I want to do them :)  According to the baby sites, Nora should be about the size of a head of lettuce.  But not so round, of course!  I did get a call from my OB this week saying that my 24 week ultrasound showed that Nora was growing a bit ahead of schedule.   I guess Mimi and I just make big babies?  So, we'll be monitoring her size a bit more with another ultrasound around 31 weeks.  I hope she does't get as big as Logan, since I would really like to do this as naturally as possible.  A 10# baby might make that difficult...or impossible!  My friends at work would say that this is happening because I talked about a birth plan.  Those of us in the hospital baby industry think of birth plans as a kiss of death.  If you write it down...it will never happen!  I want to do one anyway and my friends have teased me about it since day 1.  I still have hope things will go the way I have always dreamed, but if a change in my plan is necessary for Nora, then so be it!  All I really want is for her to arrive healthy!

The getting comfortable thing is beginning to feel like a thing of the past for sure!  Besides the constant visits to the bathroom, which make work and sleep difficult, sitting and lying down comfortably have become real challenges!  Oh to sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time!  I guess its just preparation for when Nora gets here :)  Other than that I am feeling really good!  The ankle swelling only happens when I work.  Nora does move around CONSTANTLY!  I feel like she's dancing in there!  No one but me has had the chance to see her movements yet, but I really hope Shawn gets a chance soon!

We've been working like crazy on her nursery and it's really starting to come together!  I finished the curtain this week and got a really cute butterfly curtain rod from Target to hang it.  Love it!!

I also went through my big box of Eeyore's from the garage to find some stuff that would be nice for the nursery. They are all waiting in her crib for the shelf that will become their home!

We've been going a big crazy with clothes lately too...but not just me!  We've gotten several gifts too and her  dresser is starting to fill up with adorable things!  The paint color we chose for the wall is the one on top of the dresser in this picture too.  We decided to paint only one wall.  We'll see how that turns out.

Grandma Manning and Bill were here for a quick visit this week too.  They brought Nora her first teddy bear!  Thanks so much!

I have several more sewing projects planned for the nursery...we'll see how they turn out!
