I, like many others, am slightly addicted to Pinterest. One of my favorite things to do on there is find ideas for things I can make. I have "copied" several ideas over the last few years, and everything has turned out pretty well.
So recently, a friend of my had created a baby registry on Etsy. I didn't know that you could do that on Etsy (which is another site I LOVE) but it turns out it was really a wedding registry but they just used it for baby things. One of the things she registered for was a "diaper clutch." I had seen these before in stores and was never very impressed with the store bought options. The one she registered for was really cool though...made with grey/white chevron pattern. I looked at the page more closely and thought, "I bet I could make this!" So I headed to Pinterest to see if there were patterns or other ideas for how to create a diaper clutch. I found several types and but settled on one that I made a few slight adjustments to. I made one for myself and Mimi too, while I was practicing for Marlana's. I really love how they all turned out. Marlana really liked her gift (I didn't get a picture of it before I gave it to her though).
While I was searing for a diaper clutch to make, I found a tutorial for a tote that I decided to make for myself also to go with my diaper clutch. Here is how they turned out!
I am pretty proud of my handiwork! Mom and Mimi have already requested totes of their own and I plan to make the diaper clutches for a few more of my pregnant friends and friends with babies (you know who you are so let me know what colors/patterns you want!)
