It is our Thanksgiving tradition to put up the Christmas tree the evening of Thanksgiving. This year, since we had Thanksgiving at my house, it was my tree that we put up. Or, I should say, that I put up. Logan watched me intently the whole time though...and he kept saying "big tree" excitedly! Once it was up, Shawn helped Logan put the star on top!
Logan helped as I put on the lights and the beaded garland, then he was really excited to help with the ornaments. I have to be careful this year with my ornament choices...so nothing breakable or anything that I like a lot. Basically it is all the ornaments I don't like so much. Logan was really excited to help, but seeing as he'd never done it before, figuring out how to loop them around the branches was a challenge.
Notice the positioning...he wasn't sure how to use the loop so he just laid them on the branch!
Nora's turn!
Amelia wasn't interested. She decided to hold on to the bag instead.
Logan hard at work!
Admiring his own skills :)
He figured out how to use the loop...and on my favorite ornament too. My squirrel (purchased to always remind me of Theresa, since we hardly ever get to see her and everyone knows how much she loves squirrels!)
Notice how it's handing right on the end of the branch. He did that several times!
We were so proud of him for figuring it out that we were cheering for him, then he started cheering for himself. So cute!
We are going to have so much fun this Christmas!!
