Nora update...

My prenatal appointment today went well.  Nora is doing well...but she's growing like a weed!  The ultrasound showed that she is approximately 7 pounds already!
7 pounds!!!!
At 34 weeks!
Oh my!
I can't believe she is getting so big!  The ultrasound also showed that my amniotic fluid level is getting high, so I am considered to have polyhydramnios now.  It doesn't mean anything now, just something we have to watch to be sure it doesn't get too high.  Again, it is another sign of gestational diabetes so I'll be checking my blood glucose this week quite a lot.  So far all of my tests have shown that I do not have gestational diabetes, but they're still trying to figure out why Nora's getting so big and my fluid level is getting so high.  So looks like my weekly appointments will be starting a bit early the pregnancy.

On a side note, the blood tests they drew last week when I went in about my PUPPPS rash turned out to be all normal.  So it looks indeed like just PUPPPS.  The rash is getting better, but still itches like crazy!

Shawn and I started our childbirth classes a couple of weeks ago too.  They're going well so far.  We're learning a lot about pregnancy and birth.  I have planned for a long time to have as natural a childbirth as possible, so I wanted to find a class that would help me.  I think this class is going to help a lot.  It is teaching  us about The Bradley Method of natural childbirth.  I hope Nora's growth slows a bit though, or else the natural childbirth might be a bit more difficult.  We'll see, I'll keep you all posted!
