Mommy/Baby Playdate

Nora and I were invited to a mommy/baby playdate on Thursday by Robin, who I met in my childbirth class.  She was going to be attending with her little guy, Lucca.  Apparently a woman she works with has a new baby and she was having a get together for mothers with babies less than 6 months old to talk and socialize...for us and for the babies.  I am SO GLAD that Robin thought to invite me!  We had such a great time!  All us moms got to talk about being moms and things that work/don't work with our new babies.  Plus our babies got to "play" together.

There were several babies there about the same age as Nora, but there were two boys that actually were born the same day as her and in the same hospital!  Wow!  We were sure to get a picture of the three January 31st birthday babies...Charlie, Nora and Pierce.  I can't seem to get the picture to download from Instagram, so I just linked to it.  We all had such a great time that we think we're going to try to keep it up monthly.  I can't wait to watch all the babies grow!!

On a sad note...I am going back to work tomorrow.  I am actually kind of torn about it because I really love my job and I have missed it and my coworkers, but I am super sad about leaving Nora :(  At least she'll be home with Shawn or my Mom and not with strangers.  It'll just be hard to leave her in the morning. I had been debating about waking her up to breastfeed before I leave in the morning, and thanks to facebook I got lots of advice on the subject.  I have decided to let her sleep.  I may change my mind about it, but for now that is what I am going to try.  We'll see how I really feel about working after this weekend is over...
