Nora is now twelve months old!! 1 year old!!
I know I say it every month...but seriously, where has the time gone?? I am not going to do a reflection post right now (that will come another day) but I do want to look at how much Nora has grown and changed this year.
Weight: 28 pounds (>95%)
Length: 29 1/2 inches (63%)
Head: 19 1/4 inches (>95%)
The doctor says...Nora looks great! She's still a bit chubby (yeah yeah, we know!) but her weight gain is starting to taper off and now that she's walking she should start slimming down more quickly! Nora's blood test showed that she's not anemic (yay!) and she got 3 vaccinations. She did not like those at all, but she's a tough cookie and we took her out for pancakes after her appointment, so all is well! Nora won't go back for a check up now until she's 15 months old, which will come so quickly!
Nora has gotten so big! She is wearing 18 month clothes now and size 4-1/2 - 5 shoes! She has a bit of hair finally too (see the next picture!). Nora has 10 teeth (including 2 molars, with a 3rd molar just starting to peek out) and is eating whatever we eat. She loves hot dogs and mac n cheese best. Nora quit breastfeeding a few weeks ago but I continued to pump so she was able to stay on breast milk through her first birthday. She loves cow's milk though...and we discovered last night that she likes ice cream too :)
Nora is walking now too!
Like really walking!
Trying to run!
It is so cute to watch her. She wants to walk instead of crawling and gets herself back up every time she falls...and she does fall a lot! I will post pictures of her birthday injury tomorrow (although you can see it in these pictures). She has a very strong will though (I know that is shocking) and does not like to walk where you want her to, only where she wants to! So she doesn't get to walk much in public :( She hates to be in the cart or stroller now, but I am not ready to start chasing her around the mall! She gets into everything and oh my does she have a temper! She even stamps her feet when she's mad. Where did she learn that already?
Nora still points at everything and "talks" like crazy. She has said her first real word (besides mama and dada) and it was baby! Her babbles are hilarious though...it really is like she's saying something. We get such a kick out of her. Nora also finally learned to wave!
This wonderful little girl continues to amaze me everyday! She was not in the greatest mood on "picture day" because of her face injury, plus she was sick (another cold!)...that is the only reason she got to relax back with her comforts in some of the pictures. Normally, that is not allowed :)
