Last Sunday we celebrated Nora's 1st birthday with a Sesame Street themed party!!  Our little lady LOVES Elmo and the entire Sesame Street gang and I thought that a Sesame Street party would be really cute.  Of course, I turned to Pinterest for ideas :)  It lead me to some purchases (1 from Etsy that I really loved) and some crafts as well.  Overall, the party turned out super cute and I think everyone that came had a great time, as did Nora!!

We had her party the Sunday before her birthday because we didn't want to have it the Sunday after, which was Superbowl Sunday.  Although, looking back, that game was so boring it probably wouldn't have mattered :)  Shawn's mom and grandma were able to fly to Austin for the weekend, so Nora was able to spend a few days with her Nana and Great Gramma!

We got some nice family pictures too!

 Auntie Mimi had to get in on the action...then tried to get  picture with her kiddos.  That was fun :)

The Sesame Street cupcake flags I bought from Etsy.  I thought about trying to make them but they were so cute and they weren't expensive, so I just bought them instead.  I think they're so cute!!

Nora's birthday banner is an idea I got from Pinterest then made myself.  I really love how it turned out!

Nora's high chair banner I made as well...and you guessed it!  The idea came from Pinterest!

Goodie "bags" for the kids!  I got this idea from Pinterest too, then tweaked them a bit to make them my own.  The kids really liked them!

Nora's friends came over to play and they had a blast!

 The "cake smash" wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.  She ate her cake quite daintily!  But she did try to grab the candle while it was lit, so I blew it out really quickly :)  She thought her cake was yummy though.

  

 I made her cake into a neopolitan cake (or as Mimi and I like to call them, a napolean or cosmopolitan cake!)

Nora loves her Elmo chair from Jennifer!  This little girl is so loved...it's amazing! Thanks to everyone who came and helped make Nora's first birthday party amazing!!
