Today Nora had to go get her flu shot. She was such a good girl at the doctor that I decided to keep her home from school and do something fun together afterward. So we went to the Austin Zoo! Nora loves the zoo and seeing all the animals, and today I let her run to the show. She decided which way we walked, which animals we stopped to look at and for how long, and when we went home. She had a great time!
She really loves feeding animals. She kept giving each goat/llama/deer 2 pieces of food each then saying "only 2 for you." The geese were being such bullies to the goats too! They were really loud and Nora kept shooing them away and saying, "no ducks!" We got to watch them feed the bears and they demonstrated how they train them so that they are able to care for them easier. They have 3 bear cubs (1 brother and 2 sisters) that they rescued when their mother abandoned them when their home got destroyed by foresters. Nora enjoyed watching the bears "talk" to their keepers and when they were eating every time they would find a piece of fruit to eat she would shout "they ate the lemon!" I think she meant melon...but it was so cute!
We went to lunch with daddy after the zoo and then Nora played ball with Daddy in the backyard for a bit. Overall a great day with my favorite girl!
