Nora is so excited to be 3. She's been talking about her birthday for the last couple of weeks. I know she doesn't really understand what her birthday is, but she knows that she's going to be 3 and there's going to be cake and presents. And really, isn't that all that matters?
Mimi and I decided before the girls were born, that after their 1st birthday parties, they would have a joint party between their birthdays. At least until they decide they don't want it that way anymore. It makes it easier for us, and also if grandparents from up North want to come visit it is easier for them. So this year we've decided to do their party at the end of February and there's going to be a petting zoo!! How cool, right?! They are gonna love it.
Nora had a great birthday! Remember, she had been sick all week and stuck at home with either me or her daddy, and she was so ready to go out and to have her cousins over to play.
I made her pancakes for breakfast (her favorite...like her daddy!). She didn't eat much though...but her appetite has been pretty crummy all week from the stupid RSV. She's still happy and smiling though. Always. She's such a happy girl!
Then we went to lunch at Pluckers to use her free birthday meal. She was so happy to get out of the house!
She had so much fun! She loves watching all the TV's! The one closest to us had some snowboarding event from the Xgames and she thought it was so cool. She kept saying she wanted to do that! She was talking to all the waitresses and just being super sweet. They gave her a free dessert too...which she was super excited about because she had been talking about ice cream. She didn't share.
The family came over in the evening for pizza and cake. Nora and Amelia play together so well these days, and its adorable to watch them! Amelia laughs with Nora so much..they are gonna cause so much trouble when they get older.
Nora LOVED this little leotard and tutu from her Abuela. She didn't keep it on long though because it made it difficult for her to go potty (and we'd been doing so well all week) but she kept trying to put the tutu on over her dress the rest of the evening whenever she wanted to dance. It was hilarious!
The kiddos obviously loved the desserts too..and Nora quite enjoyed being sung to!
Amelia was being quite the camera hog too...she kept jumping in front of the camera!
Time for presents!
Thank you all for her gifts!
I tried to get a picture of the kids together, but you know how that goes...
We are so completely, head over heels in love with this amazing girl! I can't even describe how much we adore her!
