Today we had our 38 week check up. Everything still looks great! My fluid level is down a bit and my blood sugar is doing great, so we're just gonna keep waiting for her to come on her own! Next week they'll do another size check. Hopefully she's not too big (or she's here already!!!) I am really getting anxious for her to arrive! She's moving down into the birth canal slowly...but she's a little further down each week and that's good enough for me. I've starting having some contractions, but only very mild and completely random. My swelling is getting much worse, and now my hands are getting involved too. My blood pressure is still great though, so the swelling is just an inconvenience. Nothing to worry about. More on Miss Nora next week!
I've been taking Marcie on walks on the days I don't work and she is LOVING it! The mornings I don't work she sits directly in my face and annoys me to death until I take her on her walk :) It's good for both of us though, so I'm glad she's persistent and makes me do it!
We decided to try to do some maternity pictures ourselves to save the money/time of arranging something with a photographer. We kind of got started yesterday, but Marcie was in hard core play mode and Logan was over running back and forth through the room the whole time. So we didn't really get much accomplished. We're planning to try again another day with some help and possibly no Logan involved :) For now, here is what we managed to get on our try in the nursery, which is basically done and ready for Nora! The pictures are definitely not as good as had we used a photographer, but at least they have captured essentially what we wanted them to! (Which is my ENORMOUS belly!) Plus, there aren't any with Shawn in them (or Marcie) but there will be with our next try. I found some great pose ideas on Pinterest.
