We made it home!!

Shawn and I had such a great experience while in the hospital.  I already know how great the nursing staff is (and everyone else) but they certainly impressed Shawn!  He mentioned after we left that he completely understands now why St. David's Women's Center of Texas has such a good reputation and why I always have such good things to say about where I work.  So for any of you nurses that are reading this, you impressed my husband and my mother!

I could gaze at this beautiful face all day!!

Apparently this sassy face looks like mine :)  I guess I shouldn't be surprised!

Mom was with me when they came to do Nora's hearing screen.  Mom was totally impressed!  Vicki (the hearing screener) explained the whole process to mom and showed her how the machine works and how it actually tests hearing.  Nora passed with flying colors!

Mimi and Logan came to visit again with Nora.  Logan gave her a hug before he left!!  What a sweet kid :)

Shawn and I brought home our little angel on Saturday (which was earlier than we expected considering my C-section was just on Thursday afternoon!).   I have been having a great recovery and my pain hasn't been bad at all...I think I am still on an adrenaline high due to the arrival of my sweet baby :)    Since she turned out not to be a giant, we were able to put her in the newborn size outfit from Theresa for the trip home.  The weather was too nice though for the whole outfit!  She didn't get to wear the jacket or her soft winter hat!  Darn you Texas and beautiful spring weather in February!

A perfect fit in her car seat!  She's ready for the ride home now.  She did great in the car too!

Meeting the doggie that will become her best friend...They both did great!  Marcie was a little over-excited, but mostly because she hadn't seen me in 4 days.  Once she calmed down she was much better.  This morning they had a nice bonding moment.  Marcie gave her some nice kisses and she reached out and touched Marcie's nose.  It was super sweet!

So now we're home and getting everything figured out.  Stay tuned for how that is going...
