Logan, Nora and Amelia had such a great time for Halloween! Mimi and I really wanted to find something we could do that would link their costumes together and The Cat in the Hat seemed perfect. Except...Logan won't wear a hat, or ears, or face paint, or a tail. We decided to work around that so we could have Nora and Amelia as Thing 1 and Thing 2. We had to make their costumes though because the sets you can buy are in the same size (mainly for twins) and Nora is certainly wearing larger clothes than Amelia :) Luckily we found red onesies and pants at BuyBuyBaby and Hobby Lobby has printable iron on paper. Then we made the tutus and the hair bows from tulle. It was time consuming but worth it because they turned out so cute!! Also, since we knew Logan wouldn't wear the hat, I decided he should use the hat as a basket for his candy. We couldn't find one to buy that would work, so I decided to make it. It was hard, but I did it and it turned out ok. He wouldn't carry it at first, but about halfway through Trick or Treating he was carrying it! Amelia didn't seem to enjoy being out much, but Nora loved it!! She really liked riding in the Thingamajigger (aka the wagon) and she was talking and watching everything! Overall, Halloween was a success. If only daddy could have been there too :(
After Trick Or Treating we tried to get some more pictures of them all together since Logan was in a better mood...tried is the key word!
