Nine months old!

Nora is now nine months old!

Once again, I am amazed at how fast the time is going. She had her check-up with the Dr. Garza this morning and everything looks great!  As usual, she a bit chubby for her age, but whatever.  I'm not worried.  She's been gaining less over the last few months and that is good enough for me!

Weight: 26 lbs 4 ounces (>95%)
Length: 28 inches (70%)
Head: 19 inches (>95%)

She didn't need any vaccinations this month, but we went ahead and got her flu shot taken care of.  With Logan in school now I worry about what he'll bring home!  Gotta keep our girl safe :)

Nora is doing so much now...she is truly a handful!  My mother says that I am already getting a taste of what I was like as a child.  Oh no!  I am worried now.  Nora had her first "on the move" accident last night, when she busted her lip on a bookcase she was using to pull herself up on.  She survived though, and so did we.  Although her little bleeding lip sure made mommy sad :(  It's not too bad this morning though, just a bit swollen.  It doesn't seem to bother her though.  She is crawling now and she loves it!  She hates to be contained...in the pack n play or in your arms!  She pulls herself up on her knees, and she has pulled herself to a standing position a couple to times too!  She even stood up in the bath last night!  Yikes!

Nora has 8 teeth and she knows how to use them.  Luckily she has only bitten me a few times, but she loves to eat her table food.  She's had chicken, beef, pork, and fish as well as a ton of different veggies and even pasta!  She loves to feed herself.  She is also a huge fan of yogurt, which we give her for dessert every night after dinner.  She still has a hard time with fruit finger foods because they're slimy and hard to pick up, but she's still working on it.  I'm still making her purees but she has learned to feed herself from the store-bought pouches, so I'm thinking about buying the do-it-yourself pouch maker, the Infantino Squeeze Station, from amazon.

I think Nora's favorite thing right now is Marcie.  She is addicted!  Since her memory has kicked in (which is a normal developmental step at this age) she knows where Marcie's toys and food bowl are.  She heads there constantly!  Every time you turn your back for a second, that's where she's headed!  She adores our Marcie!

Today is Halloween too, so we're going Trick Or Treating tonight.  There will be lots of pictures of my "Thing 1" tomorrow :)
